New paper in Journal of Air Transport Management

Writer: ITACAITACA

A paper from Transport and Mobility Leuven (TML) has been accepted for publication at the Journal of Air Traffic Management

Saskia van der Loo, from TML, one of ITACA’s consortium partners, submitted the paper “Split incentive problem in the uptake of new ATM technology”, which has been accepted for publication and will be available in the journal next year.

The paper, written by Saskia van der Loo, Christophe Heyndrickx, and Eef Delhaye, presents an economic model developed for the identification of levers and barriers in technology adoption in ATM. The work focuses on analysing different challenges due to the nature of ATM technologies, such as the network characteristics and split incentives. The key findings of the study were used to quantitatively analyse ATM technology uptake mechanisms identified in the ITACA project.
